Purple Sage Lane Mosaic Workshop

Join Artist Leigh Adams and Poly / Ana to learn how to transform broken discards in to beautiful designs while building community.

Come and learn to mosaic with us! You will learn techniques for working with glass, tile and found materials. You’ll participate in creating a mosaic mural through the “indirect method” of working on mesh. Your work will contribute to the development of a garden wall mosaic in a beautiful garden even as you learn to cut, hammer and break things! We’ll also demonstrate the installation of a piece previously created on mesh

We insist on protective eyewear! All other materials will be provided. Please wear closed toe shoes (gravity always wins!) Class includes a delicious vegetarian meal prepared by your host.

What you may wish to bring:

  • Mosaic nippers- Available at Stained Glass Supply in Pasadena

  • Tile Side Biters- Available at most hardware stores and tile stores

  • A work apron

  • Work gloves, we will have some for you as well

Space is limited so reserve your spot.

Refreshments, coffee and water will be served. Please bring comfortable clothing, sensible, protective shoes/boots, gloves, coffee cup and water bottle. Our goal is to create zero-waste to net positive events with your help. There will be shade and comfortable areas to work.

Come experience Poly/Ana and Studio Petrichor’s Landfill to Landscape workshops so you can share these easy and accessible methods in your community.

Start time at 9:00 am for morning refreshments and introduction. Please arrive on time to support a complete lesson in this process.

PLEASE NOTE - Tickets are no longer refundable after AUGSUT 10th but are transferable. If you cannot attend, you may share your ticket with a friend.

ADDITIONALLY - We may be filming this event as a timelapse video for education and promotion of our practices. You will be required to sign a media release agreement. Each of the attendees will have access to the video to share in their community.
