Lasagna Mulching & Intro to Hügelkultur Workshop

RSVP

What if your yard could become a living system that captures water, stores carbon, supports abundance, and heals the land?

Join Poly/Ana + Studio Petrichor for a hands-on workshop exploring two core regenerative soil building practices. These simple and accessible methods transform everyday garden care into living ecosystems, storing carbon, capturing water, and building living soil right where you stand. Together we will learn how to build water wise, carbon storing, resilient garden systems.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to layer cardboard and mulch “lasagna-style” to suppress weeds, retain water, and supercharge soil healing

  • Introduction on how to build a Hugelkultur berm with logs, branches, and organic debris — creating long-term water storage and richly myceliated soil

  • How both methods connect to whole-systems design, climate resilience, and post-fire community regeneration

These techniques don’t just make beautiful gardens…They also

  • Capture rainwater + store carbon using materials already on-site

  • Build fungal networks + deep soil structure

  • Reduce waste streams through in-situ composting

  • Create resilient habitat + climate-adaptive home landscapes

  • Strengthen community connection + shared ecological literacy
