Lasagna Mulching + Intro to Hugelkultur Workshop

What if your yard could hold water like a sponge 💧, build rich living soil 🌱, and actually get better with time?

Join Poly/Ana + Studio Petrichor for a hands-on, get-your-hands-and-feet-dirty kind of morning exploring two of our favorite regenerative practices. These are simple, powerful techniques that transform everyday garden spaces into thriving, water-wise ecosystems.

We are talking cardboard, mulch, logs, soil… and a little bit of magic ✨

What You’ll Learn

  • How to build a lasagna-style mulch system that smothers weeds, holds moisture, and feeds your soil from the top down

  • How to create a hugelkultur berm using logs and organic debris that acts like a slow-release water battery underground

  • How these practices connect to climate resilience, fire recovery, and whole-systems thinking:
💧 Soaking up rain instead of letting it run off
🌿 Storing carbon right in your soil
🍄 Building fungal networks that do the heavy lifting for you
♻️ Turning yard waste into long-term fertility
🦋 Creating habitat that feels alive, not just landscaped
